Air Force...Departing Corry Station

While today is not their day to fly away , it was their last day as color guard for Corry Station. The presence of the Air Force at Corry Station will no longer be as prominent as it currently is because they are packing up and moving away. Perhaps it’s because they created new schools, they’ve filled up with intelligence personnel for the time being and then some, or that they’re the Air Force and all other branches are not as sophisticated and must move to better facilities. Trust me, if you saw us here you may be inclined to believe as much and since it is no secret they earn *insert special pay here.* Yes Corry is that bad.

Despite all this, they are looked upon as being precise, trained, and dedicated to their presentation of what it is they do. They take the time to train and learn their routines, their responsibilities which we can see here in the raising of our country’s flag. Since this base is shared amongst the 5 branches of the United States Armed Forces, they perform the duties of color guard every Tuesday both morning and evening. The Air Force has held their own barracks with a clean and maintained courtyard, a lounge that makes us all jealous, and kinship amongst Airmen that shows that while we are all apart of the United States Military that each branch still looks out for each other and that Shipmates, Marines, Soldiers, and Airmen represent a certain bond formed from just a signature on a piece of paper.

In the end, which it is for the Air Force on Corry Station, everything that happens is because of us and what we do. In this case, it’s because someone let the contracts run dry so now they have to find a new place to live and train...and sit.
